A great night was had by all and we would like to thank all the performers and volunteers who made the 3rd annual fundraising event a success.
The residents of The Dorothy Hopkin Trust in Mt.Parnussus received a barrel in December 2009 from from The Sunshine Foundation. Delivering the barrel to the home was Archbishop John Noel with members from his congregation Children of The Light.
The Committee members and friends of The Sunshine Foundation, took time of their busy schedules to walk around Gunnersbury Park in Acton, London W3 to raise funds for St. Andrew's School for Special Education in Grenada and Springhallow School in Ealing, London W13.

All those who took part had offers of pledges up to £500. Well done everyone.
The Sunshine Foundation has chosen to support Springhallow School in Ealing with its fundraising for 2009.
The Sunshine Foundation is committed to supporting both St. Andrew's School for Special Education in Grenada and Springhallow School here in Ealing, London.

To date we have been able to provide St. Andrew's School for Special Education with books, ( Their entire library was destroyed during hurricane Ivan in 2004), toys, games and writing materials. We are also funding the cookery programme which had ceased due to lack of funds. More recently we have provided computers with printers, scanner, wheelchairs, walking frames, TV and DVD Player, Video Player and videos and bed linen. These itmes were donated to us as part of our fund raising programme.
Our support for the school has been welcomed and endorsed by the Chief Education Officer from the Ministry of Education and the Minister of Health and Ecclesiastical Affairs in Grenada. We continue to work in partnership with the Board of Governors and Head Teacher, who works tirelessly to raise awareness and support for the school both at home and abroad.
We have just sponsored a family with special neeeds by helping with the provision of electricity.
We have also networked with the Grenada, Carriacou and Pettit MartniqueSpiritual Foundation in indentifying under privileged and families who require Special assistance.
We pledge to distribute any surplus materials donated, to various children's homes and families who care for those with Special Needs.
